We work daily with athletes to improve their game, swing, throw, running form and more, as well as working to overcome injury and conditions preventing them from being their best.
Return to Sport
At OrthoRehab, many of our physical therapists specialize in helping the athlete return to their sport. Once you are pain-free and feel strong enough to return to sport, a number of tests will be conducted. Many functional tests are used to identify movement pattern abnormalities, strength deficits, and range of motion restrictions. We will also use an isokinetic machine, which measures force output on a computer to identify muscle imbalances or side to side deficits. Our goal is to ensure you have the proper tools to safely and effectively return to your specific sport. Our therapists are all well versed in a wide range of sports and can assist you in proper technique if needed.
Golf Swing Analysis
We provide an in depth analysis of your swing while looking at how your musculoskeletal system moves. We can make minor modifications/suggestions to your swing to eliminate patterns that will cause injury. We take this information and combine it with a specifically tailored home exercise program to improve performance and prevent injury.
By combining diagnostics, formal assessments, and experience, our clinicians develop programs to enhance your game. We review what you do, what your goals are, and look at ways to modify your program to help you shave off time, add speed, and improve strength. This can add significant value to your performance. We’ve worked with some of the Twin Cities’ finest athletes to help them rise to achieve their best ever.
