Treatment Philosophy and Approach
Rebecca believes that each patient arrives with a unique story of strength, challenge and resilience. In her practice she places strong emphasis on listening and building trust. After a thorough evaluation linking subjective history with objective findings she designs a customized plan that combines manual therapy, movement reeducation and patient education. Patients learn to recognize their own patterns of compensation and engage in corrective strategies that empower them for long term success.
Her manual therapy techniques include joint mobilizations, soft tissue mobilization and connective tissue manipulation. By restoring joint play and releasing tight structures she lays the foundation for improved movement control. In addition she utilizes kinesio taping as an adjunct to enhance proprioception, reduce pain and support weakened musculature.
Strengthening and functional training are integrated in every plan. Rebecca draws from the latest evidence in muscle physiology to prescribe exercises that restore optimal muscle balance and endurance. She teaches patients to recruit deep core stabilizers and coordinate movement through the kinetic chain.
Education is central to her philosophy. Rebecca spends time explaining the underlying anatomy, the role of the nervous system in pain perception and the importance of posture and movement quality. Patients receive handouts, video links and home exercise programs tailored to their learning style and daily schedules.
