BEST PART OF MY WORK: To be able to improve a person’s daily pain and function. I strive to give patients hope that their condition can improve, or at least better manage their condition. It’s very rewarding to see the improvements and smile on the patient’s face as they recognize that they are having less pain and doing more.
WHY I BECAME A PHYSICAL THERAPIST: I wanted to work in a medical profession, and initially I felt a PT would have a better work schedule than a Nurse or Doctor. As I learned of all that a PT can do, and the different paths I could take within the profession, I grew more excited about the possibilities of how I can impact a person’s life. Through the years I continue to grow and challenge myself, and love what I do.
HOW I SPEND MY FREE TIME: Any activity in the great outdoors, like camping, hiking, kyaking, skiing, or just relaxing.
