Terry Buisman

Terry Buisman Owner, PT

A graduate of the Mayo Clinic Physical Therapy program, Terry has practiced for more than twenty years, specializing in shoulder and combined shoulder and spinal injuries, and is the co-owner of ORSI. His expertise is highly regarded in the metropolitan area, and thus he attracts a more complicated case load including chronic rotator cuff injuries, surgical repairs including shoulder replacement, adhesive capsulitis or frozen shoulder, and shoulder injuries with underlying neuropathy. He has had a longstanding relationship with local orchestra communities and is a member of the Performing Arts Medical Association. Terry is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and has served as the Minnesota Public Relations Director for eight years. He serves as a clinical instructor for area physical therapy programs and lectures on shoulder rehabilitation for physician and physical therapy audiences.

Mark Siewert

Mark Siewert Owner, PT

Mark received his physical therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse and specializes in the treatment of lower extremities, including post- operative ACL reconstruction, total knee reconstruction, as well as foot and ankle pathologies. He also has expertise in the fabrication of custom knee bracing and foot orthotics.

He began his career over twenty years ago working for former Vikings' head trainer and physical therapist Fred Zamberletti of CenterTherapy, Inc. During this time he was considered a foremost expert in isokinetic strengthening, authoring or co-authoring over twelve research papers that were published and presented at several national American Physical Therapy Association conferences. Mark then went into private practice, building Sports & Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Inc. into five locations. In the mid-90's he sold his practice to Health Fitness Corporation, the largest provider of corporate fitness centers in the United States. His responsibilities with Health Fitness Corporation included performing due diligence on the expansion of their core business to include outpatient physical therapy clinics on a nationwide basis mainly through acquisition and the startup of onsite physical therapy with corporate fitness clients.

In 1999 he and partner Terry Buisman opened OrthoRehab Specialists, Inc. in downtown Minneapolis. The company has expanded to three clinic locations in the metro area.

MikeDixey

Mike Dixey PT, Cert. MDT, NASM-PES, CSCS

Over the course of his 13-year career, Mike has focused on injury rehabilitation and prevention utilizing various exercise and manual techniques. Mike received his physical therapy degree from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse in 1997, his strength and conditioning specialist certification through National Strength and Conditioning Association in 1996, his credentialing in mechanical diagnosis and therapy from the McKenzie Institute in 2001 and his performance enhancement specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in 2003. Mr. Dixey specializes in utilizing the Postural Restoration Technique to help restore balance and symmetry in his patients. Mike is currently researching mobility and strength benefits in the extremities using performance mouthwear.

Brett Johnson

Brett Johnson DPT, CSCS

Brett graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of Iowa Graduate Program in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science and has gained recognition as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Brett?s professional focus is sports medicine and treatment of orthopedic pathologies. His specialized clinical training brings a broad knowledge base to evaluation and treatment of upper and lower extremity injuries, return to sport training, and spinal pathologies. Professional memberships include the American Physical Therapy Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Carol Lego

Carol Lego PT

Carol graduated with a physical therapy degree from the University of Minnesota. Ms. Lego has worked full-time in outpatient settings for her entire thirty year career. She has extensive continuing education training in spinal mobilization and neural mobilization, utilizing innovative approaches to address chronic pain and headaches. She is a member of and instructor for the Minnesota Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association and is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Carol has worked with OrthoRehab Specialists for over ten years.

Jennifer Martin

Jennifer Martin PT, OCS, FAAOMPT

Jennifer earned her physical therapy degree from Marquette University and completed an Orthopedic Fellowship at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. She has practiced in outpatient orthopedic settings for over ten years with a focus on manual spinal and orthopedic care. Jennifer has had the opportunity to treat and train numbers of professional athletes, dancers and musicians. She is an American Physical Therapy Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy as well as a member of the American and Minnesota Physical Therapy Associations. Ms. Martin completed her Pilates Rehabilitation Certification in 2001 through Polestar Education after working with rehabilitation and exercise for eight years. Jennifer heads the Prescription Fitness program affiliated with OrthoRehab Specialists.

Lois Olson Taragos

Lois Olson Taragos PT

Lois graduated with highest honors from the physical therapy program at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Lois or "Lu" has practiced over twenty years full-time with a primary focus on outpatient orthopedics and has logged many hours of continuing education, including completion of a manual therapy internship program. She provides an eclectic approach to treatment of clients with multiple areas and levels of dysfunction. The approach includes the use of craniosacral therapy, myofasical release, neuromuscular reeducation, joint mobilization and education in self care. Lu has instructed fellow physical therapists in application of manual therapy for treatment of the spine and women?s health issues. She has also been a long-standing member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Margi Heie

Margi Heie M.P.T., O.C.S.

Margi has been practicing in the Twin Cities for nearly ten years, with an expertise in the treatment of runners and triathletes. She is highly skilled in the assessment and treatment of general lower extremity diagnoses and utilizes state-of-the-art video analysis as part of her evaluation for prevention and treatment of runners' injuries.

Margi received her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the College of St. Catherine in 2001 and became an American Physical Therapy Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2007. Ms. Heie speaks locally on running injuries and biomechanics of gait.
